Beskrivelse |
After a bachelor's degree in industrial design I started teaching. For the past 10 years I have been teaching the subject Technology. During the technology lessons students learn how to make things. The past two years I have been a partner in the FABLAB SCHOOLS EU project. During these two years we co-developed a methodology for design thinking and digital fabrication. As a follow up I got the opportunity to collaborate with an Arts t eacher to start a pilot class in which we combine Arts and Technology (digital fabrication) and design thinking.

Beskrivelse |
In 2002 I graduated in drawing and painting at the art academy. Since then I have been working at the Theresialyceum in Tilburg, where I give art lessons. In addition to arts education, in recent years, I specialized in education for gifted children.
In the art department of Theresialyceum, creativity and divergent ideas have become more and more important over the years as the result of a PHD study by dr. M.T. v.d. Kamp.
My passion for Art, creative thinking and technology came together when I was able to contribute, with passionate teachers from all around Europe, to the FABLAB SCHOOLS EU project. The result of the project was a restart at my school. Art, technology and design thinking come together in a new subject that I am currently developing which is co-funded by the municipality of Tilburg: Art & Technology.
